Tennisnuts scored an exciting 15-10 win over Maharashtra Mandal  to emerge champions  at the Fourth edition of   the Arun Sane Memorial Amateur Tennis League organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and the Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) on the PYC Hindu Gymkhana Tennis courts.

In the finals played on PYC Hindu Gymkhana Tennis courts, Tennis Nuts showed patience in overcoming a fighting  Maharashtra Mandal 15-10. The pairs of Amit Kindo and Ravi Kothari scored a 6-2 win over Amit Sharma and Hemant Deore in 80plus, in the first open event Deepak Patil and Alok Nair of Tennis Nuts  lost to the Maharashtra Mandal pair of Sanjay Sethi and Rajendra Deshmukh 3-6; In the last tie Joy Banerjee and Nitin Sawant of Tennis Nuts scored a 6-2 win over the pair of Abhishek Chavan and Vikram Shrishrimal ensuring a win for Tennis Nuts

The winner Tennis Nuts  team received the Arun Sane memorial trophy and Rs.20,000/-, while runner up Maharashtra Mandal got a trophy and Rs.10,000/-. The prizes were given away at the hands of  Mr.Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Late Arun Sane wife Aasha Sane and Mr.Sunder Iyer, Hon Secretary of MSLTA. Mr.Sarang Lagu, Hon. Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Mr.Parag Tepan, Mr.Tanmay Agashe, Mr.Abhishek Tamhane Hon Secretary of PMDTA, welcomed the guests and proposed vote of thanks.
